Your great granny Mary Cornwell [Mary Adams] and Charles Cornwell had four children. A girl and a boy died as babies. Lilla died in 1919 of the flu and pneumonia [Note: this was the great flu pandemic that started in 1917 and killed 100 million people] at 16 years old. She died on a visit with family to South Dakota. Gladys lived to be 34 years old. She was a TB and Bronchlactae. She died while visiting at 2 Schiller Street - I think 1938. That was awful for me to take her home to those old parents in Sardinia. Your great granny [Mary Hansen] was 15 years younger than her husband. She always claimed Alida and Nellie were very mean to her and she took her revenge out on Lynn and Ruth her step-children. Lynn went west and married her youngest sister Lizzie. Now 90 years old and living with two unmarried children: Eloise 57 years old and Allan 52 years old.
